HER BIGGEST SELLING AND HIGHEST CHARTING ALBUM TO DATE
NEW YORK, Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Masterworks is pleased to announce that Kristin Chenoweth's recently released holiday recording, A Lovely Way To Spend Christmas, has garnered the highest sales and chart ranking in her recording career. With increased sales of 63% this week, A Lovely Way To Spend Christmas holds the #1 position on Billboard's Heat Seekers -Top New Artist Chart and continues to steadily climb Billboard's Seasonal and Top 200 Charts.
On her third album, Chenoweth covers a wide range of Christmas songs from "Christmas Island," popularized by The Andrew's Sisters to her personal favorite "Come On Ring Those Bells."
In addition to well-known Christmas classics such as "Silver Bells" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas" (which she recently performed on The Today Show), Chenoweth reinterprets Louis Armstrong's modern standard "What A Wonderful World" and children's favorite "Sing," (originally written for Sesame Street's loveable Big Bird) into Christmas songs with the help of acclaimed producer Robbie Buchanan (Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Barry Manilow) and Executive Producer Jay Landers (Streisand, Midler, Manilow, Celine Dion and Josh Groban).
The album also features new compositions of "Home On Christmas Day," co-written by Grammy Award-winning producer Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey, Celine Dion) and Jay Landers and "Born On Christmas Day," with lyrics by Grammy winning pop/soul singing legend Peabo Bryson.
This week she also performed the classic "Do You Hear What I Hear?" on The View and on NBC's Christmas In Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony. She will perform "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and "What Child Is This?" on TNT's Christmas In Washington on December 14, 2008.

I was at the ST. Louis concert last night...absolutely delightful. Kristin did a song that made me cry, about being in love with someone who needs to grow up...will be with another woman when he's grown.
I'd love to know where to find that song again.
Plus..."He's Just My Bill" was fabulous. My husband is Bill and he gave me the concert for Christmas.
Thanks.
Any fan of Kristin Chenoweth knows that the musical quality of her lilting timbre is more than just a nice speaking voice: the actress has been one of the most successful and well-known performers on Broadway for the past ten years. The sprightly 4'11" actress attended Oklahoma City University on a full scholarship to study voice before going on to earn her master's in opera performance. Chenoweth's first Broadway role came in 1997 when she was cast in a production of Molière's Scapin. The next season, she was cast in Steel Pier, winning a Theatre World Award for her performance. Once Chenoweth's stage career was off and running, she quickly became one of the most well-known and best-liked Broadway actresses alive, working constantly and winning several awards, including a Tony for her performance in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. She was particularly praised for her performance in 2003's Wicked, and her performance of selections from her album Let Yourself Go at a concert for Lincoln Center's fifth American Songbook. I’m sure many of her fans have gotten payday loans to grab an original copy of her latest Christmas album.
